Although she began her career as a model, she soon realized that the materialistic and
vain nature of the industry didn't suit her tastes. She preferred something more intellectual,
thus an acting career followed. But after several unsuccessful attempts at movie auditions,
she finally got a part in the critically acclaimed picture Il Postino.
More movie offers followed including one as an infamous Bond girl in The World is
Not Enough. Now she's kept busy doing what she always loved: acting, and the Italian
film industry is lucky to have her.
