Louise has always had the ambition to be a singer but did go through a phase of wanting to be a lawyer.
After the family moved to Eltham, Louise was sent to elocution lessons. The reason for this was to try
and lose her strong South London accent. Louise to this day thinks that she isn't well-spoken. The first single that
Louise released as a solo artist was
"Light Of My Life" which reached number 8 in the charts. Louise released her debut album, "Naked" in June '96.
All in all five singles were released each one very successful. "Naked" sold over a million copies.
Louise's second album, "Woman In Me" was released in October '97. "Arms Around The World" was the first
single released from the album followed by "Let's Go Round Again" a re-release of the song by the Average
White Band. "Woman In Me" reached number 5 in the charts during its first week.
She was voted 'Sexiest British Woman' by the readers of FHM
and was voted 'Sexiest Woman In The World' by Sky magazine.
